You’re invited to our first Better Together volunteer event! This September, we’ll be teaming up to help United Way prepare emergency preparedness kits for their 9/11 Days of Service Event!

Why emergency preparedness kits? 

The San Antonio and Bexar County region is highly susceptible to extreme weather, particularly flash flooding, severe thunderstorms, extreme heat waves, and occasional winter freezes. 

Who are we supporting? 

United Way and the Strong Individuals and Families Impact Partners strive to ensure that all individuals and families are stable, flourish economically, reach their full potential, and maintain a quality of life. Part of the support United Way provides is ensuring that families are prepared, even in an emergency. 

What will we be doing? 

We're asking volunteers to help us sort, pack, and distribute 1,000 emergency preparedness kits. United Way will provide all supplies needed to complete the kits. We will be indoors at ChildSafe, and please prepare to wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
